Coro Valsassina is a choir made up of male voices only. It was set up in 1969 by a group of friends fond of singing, who were used to meet in their spare time and enjoy singing together mountain’s folksongs. In september they decided to give their singing meetings a more official form and as a result the choir was set up thank to the first choirmaster Iginio Minotti.
We are grateful to those people and expecially to the five founders that have been singing in the choir since its birth.
After few years of hard training, meanwhile the choir performed “only” in his home valley, the real debut occured in 1973 at the Milan’s Theatre of Art, an exhibition that was recorded by RAI television. From that moment the choir began to widen the area of its perfomance and by its first ten years of life it had already sang in several regions of Italy and even abroad in Switzerland and in France.
Among all the exibitions we remember with emotion the performance taken in the Aula Nervi, in front of the Holy Father Paolo VI (1978).
Since its foundation the choir’s main interest has been in promoting and preserving folks song of the mountain areas. Beside that choir’s aim has been to use music and expecially traditional songs as a mean to promote cultural exchanges and to spread friendship among people. The choir has been committed in several benefit acts, for instance upon the earthquake occured in Friuli in 1976, many choir’s members moved to Friuli to help rebuilding. And it was the beginning of a still lasting friendship with Moggio Udinese’s citizens.
In 1993 and 1994 the Choir celebrated its 25° years of life with two moving performances in the Slovacchian town of Bardejov, and organizing an international choral meeting, with the exibitions of two choirs from Slovacchia.
In recent years the choir has been twice in France: firstly in 2002 hosted by the Choir Au Fil De l’Avre of Sallanches and then to celebrate the twinning Magland-Barzio.
Since 2002 the choir organizes an annual choral meetings with the aim to promote a cultural exchange with choirs coming from other regions of Italy or even from other countries.
The guest choirs are hosted by Choir Valsassina, and they return the hospitality the following year.

Le Coro Valsassina est un choeur composé soulement par voix d’hommes. Il est nè en 1969 par un groupe d’amis qui aiment chanter, qui ils ont utilizé leur temps libre pour chanter ensemble des chansons folkloriques et de montaigne.
En september 1969 ils ont decidé de donner à leurs reincontres une forme plus officielle, et donc le chœur a été crée, sous la direction de Iginio Minotti.
Nous sommes reconnaissantes vers cet ensamble d’hommes et en particulier aux cinq fondateurs qui ont chanté dans le chœur depuis sa naissance.
Après quelques ans de dur travail, dans laquelle le chœur a chanté soulement dans sa vallée natale, le grand début a été en 1973 au Théâtre de l’Art en Milan, une performance qui a été enregistrée par RAI.
Dès quel moment le chœur a commencé à sortir des ses frontiéres en chantant dans beaucoup de régions d’Italie et d’Europe.
Entre tous les concert nous rappellons avec beaucoup de émotion celle dans Aula Nervi, Vatican, en face du Sainte-Pére Paolo VI (1978).
Depuis sa fondation le principal intérêt du chœur a été la promotion et la préservation del chansons populaires et de la montaigne.
Le chœur utilise la musique et les chansons traditionelles surtout comme instrument pour échanges culturels et pour répandre l’amitié entre les peuples.
Le chœur a fait beaucoup de gestes de solidarité. Par example pendant le tremblement de terre dans Frioul en 1976. Nombreux choristes sont allés au Frioul pour aider à la reconstrucion. Ce fut le début d’une amitié encore en vie avec ler habitants de Moggio Udinese.
En 1993-1994 le chœur a fêté 25 ans de activité avec deux concerts en Bardejov (Slovaquie) et a organizé une rencontre chorale internationalle avec deux chorales slovaques.
En ces derniéres années le chœur a été deux fois en France : tout d’abord en 2002 organisé par la choral « Au fil de l’Avre » de Sallanches, puis en 2009 pour célébrer le jumelage Magland-Barzio.
Depuis 2002, le chœur organise une rencontre chorale annuel enfin de promouvoir en échange culturel avec chœurs d’autres regions de l’Italie et aussi d’autres pays.
Le Chœur Valsassina donne hospitalité aux chœurs invités et leur la rendent l’année suivante.

Coro Valsassina ist ein A-cappella-choir mit nur mannern Stimmen bestehend. Es ist im 1969 von einer Gruppe von Freunde von singen begeister, die trefften sich in der Freizeit zu singen die Gesänge der Berges. Im September sie entscheiden zu organisieren sich amtlich als Chor mit der erste Chorleiters Iginio Minotti.
Wir sind diesem Personen dankbar und besonders den fünf Gründfundchorn, die noch sie singen im Chor.
Dann einige Jahre von anstrengendtraining, während der Chor nur im sein Tal, des richtige Debüt war im 1973 zum Theater von Kunst in Mailand, ein Auftritt, der war gefilmet von RAI-TV. Damals der Chor beginnt erweitern die Fläche von seine Darbietung un sondern seine erste zehn ahre er hat shon viele egionen von Italian gesungen und auch in die Schweiz und Franckreich.
Unter vielen Auftritte wir mit Aufregung den Darbietung in der Aula Nervi, Vatikan, vor Heiliger Vater Paolo VI (1978).
Seit seiner Gründung das Hauptinteresse des Chores sind die Konservierung und die Verbreitung vom Volksgesang. Weitere Ziel des Chores ist Musik und besonders traditionelle Gesänge bedienen wie mittel für fördern Kulturaustausch und Erweitern Freund-schaft unter den Leute.
Der Chor ist in viele wohltuende Tatigkeiten, zum beispiel für das Erdbeden ins Friaul im 1976, viele Chorsänger fuhrten nach Friaul für der Wiederaufbau.
So ist eine bleibende Freund-schaft mit Wohnende von Moggio Udinese begonnen.
Im 1993 und 1994 der Chor hat sein 25° Jahr mit zwei Konzerte in der Stadt Bardejov (Slowakei) feiern, und er hat ein international Chortreffen organisiert mit zwei Chöre aus Slowakei.
Neulich der Chor ist zwei mal im Frankreich gewesen: früher im 2002 ist Gest del “Chores Fil De L’Avre” von Sallanches und dann im 2009, Jahre des Vierzigstes, für feiern Partnerschaft Magland-Barzio.
Seit 2002 der Chor organisiert ein Chortreffen mit dem Ziel fördern ein Kulturaustausch mit Chöre aus andere Ilalianischen Regionen und Europänischen Staaten. Die Chöre wird vom Coro Valsassina gebeherbergt, und sie erwirden die Gastfreundschaft das Folgejahr.

El Coro Valsassina está compuesto por voces masculinas. Naciò en 1969, un grupo de amigos que en su tiempo libre cantaban juntos canciones populares y canciones que se cantan en la montaña.
En septiembre de ese mismo año, decidieron hacer la primera presentación oficial y en ese momento se crea el Coro, bajo la dirección de Iginio Minotti.
Nosotros, los actuales mienbros del coro, estamos muy agradecidos con Iginio Minotti y sus cinco fundadores.
Después de unos años de duro trabajo, años en los que el coro cantó en su valle natal, el verdadero comienzo fué en 1973 en el Teatro de Arte de Milán, "presentación" que se transmitió por la RAI, después de esto, el coro comenzo a cantar en otros lugares de Italia y en Europa.
Uno del los conciertos, que recordamos con mucha emoción, fué el de el Aula Nervi del Vaticano, dedicado a Paolo VI (1978).
Desde su fundación, el interés principal del Coro ha sido la divulgación y preservación de las canciones populares y canciones de montaña.El Coro usa la música y las canciones tradicionales, como instrumento para el intercambio cultural y la difusión de la amistad entre los pueblos.
El Coro ha participado en muchos conciertos de beneficencia, por ejemplo, durante el terremoto de Friuli en 1976 muchos cantantes fueron a Friuli a ayudar en su reconstrucciòn, de ahí nació una linda amistad con las personas de Moggio Udinese.
En 1993-1994 el Coro celebró 25 años de actividad, los festejó con dos conciertos en Bardejov (Eslovaquia) y organizó un encuentro coral internacional con dos coros de Eslovaquia.
En estos últimos años el Coro se ha presentado en Francia: la primera vez en 2002, organizado por la coral "Au fil de l'Avre" de Sallanches, a en el 2009 para celebrar el vinculo de unión con Magland-Barzio.
Desde 2002, el coro organiza una vez al año un encuentro con el fin de promover el intercambio cultural con coros de otras regiones de Italia y de otros países.
El coro Valsassina hace intercambios anuales con otros Coros, donde el coro anfitrión alberga a sus invitados.
